Research in our lab harnesses redox chemistry to address unsolved challenges in medicine and environmental remediation. Our highly-interdisciplinary research projects lie at the interface of classical organometallic catalysis with biomaterials, oxidative stress, and sustainable building materials. We employ advanced techniques in inorganic, organic, and polymer synthesis, electrochemistry, spectroscopy, and materials analysis, and we collaborate with leading experts in computational chemistry, chemical biology, and medicine. Our lab is developing solutions to artificial implant failure, biofilm formation, sterile inflammation, and the accumulation of chemical industrial waste.
